Getting Ready For Market - Felted Soap
For many people this time of year sort of rolls out like molasses in January, particularly if you happen to live in the mid-west or north-eastern parts of America. Take me for example, I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and as I'm writing this it is -20 degrees below zero outside. For the last week, I've spent maybe 20 minutes a day outside. I bring in the firewood, feed the birds and get the mail. I see no need for anymore outside activity than that when it's -20 outside.
My days are not rolling by slowly like molasses in January, quite the contrary. I'm ticking off days until the craft-show season starts in the spring because I have this big plan to be organized and ready with inventory this year. Normally this isn't too big of a problem, but both my sister and I have been playing around with different projects trying to get the right items for our brand. In other words, we've been trying something new.
This blog is something new and also the videos on YouTube. Instagram, Facebook, Amazon Handmade. New, New, Check, Check. Learning to make new things out of my comfort zone is challenging and then learning how to connect all of the social media dots is not only a time killer, but it makes you want to stick a fork in your eye sometimes - at least that's how my personal social media learning experience goes most of the time.
I've recently purchased a little tripod for my phone/camera and the reFurbished Mama is going to try making some "how-to" videos for my YouTube channel and we'll see how that works out. :)
This past week I've been working on felting soap. I've listed some on Amazon Handmade and included the link
Below are some photos of other soap that I've been working on and most of them are listed on Amazon.
